This four-bedroom Elwood townhouse ticks so many boxes. It’s full of natural light, has two spacious living areas, an open-plan kitchen and dining space and the highest quality materials throughout however something was missing.
Together with the client, a beautiful young couple, we got down to the interior details that would bring the house to life. Streamlined lighting systems; a sophisticated timber panelling treatment for the home office; the right pendant light for the powder room to add a little drama; finding perfect white bench seating for the courtyard that complements the monochrome kitchen palette.
We created a series of wine racks under the stairs for prized wines and also selected interior objects, vases, even coffee table books that expressed the couple’s formal yet relaxed aesthetic. It’s all in the details. Last but not least, we added another of my essential ingredients for a beautiful home – indoor plants and fresh flowers. Now we have a bayside home which is a light filled sanctuary, a true home.
